Choosing peace over perfection

How would it feel if you could decide to choose Peace over Perfect? ​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​

I get it. As if we didn't already over stress ourselves during the holidays seasons we are watching all those perfect tik tok videos, seeing all those amazing decorations on instagram and adding things like a mischievous elf who moves mountains while the kids are sleeping. ​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​

It is so hard not to feel like we are falling behind, not doing as well as everyone else, and don't even get me started on the massive amounts of posts in women groups on fb about mom guilt during this time of year. ​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​

Many of us are trying to pack more into our already busy schedules, all while trying to make sure everyone else is happy and everything is perfect! ​​​​​​​​

What if, however, we made a conscious choice to let go of perfection and instead began to embrace Peace? ​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​

What does that look like for you? It could be: ​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​

❄️Saying no to more stuff or extra commitments ❄️Baking 1 pie instead of 3, 1 dozen cookies instead of 6​​​​​​​​

❄️Setting a timer to remind yourself when it is time to get some rest. ​​​​​​​​

❄️Prioritizing a good nights sleep and resting when you need it. ​​​​​​​​

❄️Choose joyful family experiences over more gifts​​​​​​​​

❄️Asking for help when you need it and giving yourself permission to let go of all that weight on your shoulders. ​​​​​​​​

❄️Leaning into things that light you up. ​​​​​​​​

❄️Hire a house cleaner, or remember that nobody will notice if you didn't wash your baseboard :)​​​​​​​​

❄️Simplfy... simplify... simplfy​​​​​​​​

❄️Self care​​​​​​​​

There are so many other things we could put on this list. The truth is that it will look different for each of you. As we move through the holiday season, check in with yourself to see if there are moments where you can choose Peace.
