Stephanie is back

I am so excited to be back at home in the studio again. And I totally want to talk about self care.

Because one of the least common things mentioned in the whole self care movement is how much work it really can be.

Sure self care can be bubble baths or bubblies with a bestie 🥂, but it is also making hard life decisions, actively listening to your body, making plans, changing plans, and sometimes despite all the self care tools in your tool box, you are left with absolutely no energy to implement them.

This is your reminder that It's okay if you are too tired to practice self care. It's okay to pause. It's okay if you are struggling.

It's also okay to feel this way during good stress or difficult stress. Our bodies do not always know the difference.

Are you struggling a bit with your self care?

It's totally normal.

The last month or so for me has been a complete roller-coaster ride of really amazing highs and really deep lows.

Guess what? Even though self care is kind of my thing, I still burnt out. I over extended myself, pushed too hard, didn't listen to my body, and paid for it massively.

Coming back from my time off with a severe cold, caught covid, got a sinus infection, and then had a major reaction to an antibiotic.

Why? Self care is a ton of work, and I had 0 energy left to even think about it.

Can you relate?

It's okay to just be for a while. (that's self care too)

The good news? When you are ready, there are infinite numbers of ways to jump back into caring for ourselves.

Start gently by asking yourself what your body needs.

My body needs some serious rest and quiet time.
